EARWORM:

“A catchy song or tune that runs continually through a person’s mind.”

Valley Lodge

Valley Lodge is a five-piece power pop band from Brooklyn, NY. They formed in 2005 when comedian Dave Hill (formerly of Cleveland’s own, Cobra Verde) and John Kimbrough, of the band Walt Mink, met up to compare songs they had been writing. Soon after, the band was fleshed out with the addition of bass player Phil Costello and drummer Rob Pfeiffer. Later the same year the band released a self-titled debut album.

Fast-forward to 2013. The band’s third album, Use Your Weapons, is released in September featuring the single, “Go.” A video for the song was shot two months prior in Los Angeles by director Tim Fornara.

April 2014 saw the single become theme song for the HBO show, Last Week with John Oliver.

Ladies and gentleman, I give you Super No Bueno’s Earworm of the Week, “Go.” You can thank me later.
